ABOUT THE ARTIST
Anne Packard
Born in 1933, Anne Packard has spent a lifetime painting the landscapes, light, and emotional stillness of Provincetown and the Outer Cape. Still painting today from her Provincetown studio, her work continues to explore atmosphere, restraint, and the quiet simplicity that has defined her career for decades.
Packard Gallery was opened by Anne Packard in 1988 and remains family-owned and operated today in Provincetown’s historic Gallery District.
Anne Packard comes from a deeply rooted artistic lineage. Her grandmother, Zella, and grandfather, Max Bohm — awarded a Gold Medal at the Paris Salon in 1898 for his painting En Mer — were both painters. Bohm is credited as one of the leading figures in establishing Provincetown as a nationally recognized artist colony, helping shape the artistic identity that remains embedded within the town today.
Packard Prints was developed in direct collaboration with Packard Gallery to make a curated selection of archival giclée editions available online, extending the gallery’s legacy through museum-quality printmaking and carefully produced editions.
